Special Issue on "Machine Modelling and Simulations 2025"
Modeling and simulation play a key role in advancing engineering technologies while supporting ecological responsibility, social relevance, and sustainable economic and technological growth. In mechanical and materials engineering, physical, mathematical, and logical models serve as the foundation for simulations used to support technical decision-making in both research and industrial practice.
Today’s modeling efforts extend into various innovative areas, including energy harvesting mechanisms, intelligent optimization of manufacturing systems, AI-driven prediction of process behavior, and multiphysics simulations at the micro- and nanoscale. These methods are further employed in environmental modeling and advanced thermal analysis, enhancing their impact across multiple scientific and engineering fields.
Objective: The main goal is to present and promote recent advancements in the modeling and simulation of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and materials behavior, by bringing together contributions from international researchers focused on both theoretical and applied aspects.
Potential Topics: The scope of this collection covers a broad range of topics, from fundamental research in differential modeling and numerical methods, through simulation of advanced manufacturing systems, to the application of intelligent algorithms and environmental data analysis in engineering contexts:
- Theoretical and applied mathematics in engineering
- Modelling of physical and chemical properties of materials
- Methods and systems in machine design
- Machine dynamics and multibody systems simulations
- Modelling and simulation, structural optimization
- Advanced industrial applications
Keywords: Mathematical model; Numerical solution; Applied mechanics; Applied mathematics; Machine simulations
Submission Guidelines
For this special issue, we seek submissions of original research articles from researchers, academics, and practitioners, contributing in 30th International Slovak- Polish Scientific Conference on Machine Modelling and Simulations (MMS 2025). All submissions will be reviewed by experts in the field to guarantee they are both scientifically sound and appropriate to the topic at hand. Guidelines for formatting your manuscripts can be found on the journal's website. Manuscripts should be submitted online through the JAMCM Editorial System (by indicating, in the comment, that the article is a part of the Special Issue "Machine Modelling and Simulations 2025").
Timeline:
Initial Submission Date: August 01, 2025
Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025
